Dangerous Beauty by John Welwood

Women of Power,
You stood against the mighty onslaught of the judges,
The Inquisitor’s harsh hand bore down on you,
Seeking to crush the life within your bones,
The life that they had long ago foresworn.

Women of Power,
Your time is coming.
The time to loose the fire of creation,
You’ve had to hide so long below the ground.
Soon, soon the hour is approaching
When you can let it burn with full abandn,
No longer having to protect
All those who would be threatened by your blaze.

Women of Power,
I now invite you
To step into this world that needs you so,
To put aside the silence that has served you,
And voice all you have known but never said.

Women of Power,
The earth is crying,
And you alone
Can bear her in your arms.
