Rainbow by David Onamade

She wears her perky name
in baggy colours.

She bubbles a goodness
that pulls kids to her.

She calls me ‘My Gorgeous’
with a hug, a smile

(‘Surely you need glasses’,
I would hold her close)

And a stride that belies
the pain she carries

With a heart that cleanses
lik new beginnings.
